He was predeceased by: his parents, Arturo Valdez and Herlinda Valdez (Margaret); his son Edward; and his brothers, Raymundo, Juan and Pepe Valdez.
He is survived by: his wife Margaret Romero; his child Christian; his sister Nenla Ramirez of Monterrey; and his children, Chris Valdez (Juanita) of Alamosa, CO, Mark Valdez of Fountain, CO, Monica Valdez of Utah and Tracey Gallegos (Max) of Fountain, CO.
