He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Simon Lopez and Rebecca Ruybal Lopez; and his wife Della Romero Lopez. He is survived by: his niece Rose Vialpando; his granddaughter Eileen; his siblings-in-law, Wilma Duran (Ross), Dorthy Valdez, La Jara, Gloria (Glen) and Donald Romero (Bernadette) of Antonito; and his sons, Toby, Rev. Anthony and Ronnie.
Salomon was honored a few years ago with a lifetime achievement award for his contributions to the keeping of the traditions of the folk and Spanish music passed through generations.
