She was predeceased by: her parents, Manuel Garcia and Cleotilde Sisneros Garcia; her husband Jose "Joe" Francisco Atencio; and her siblings, Rudy, Manuel, Salomon Garcia, Ernestine Jaramillo, Loretta Acevado, Freida Morimoto and Florence Sandoval.

She is survived by: her children, Eloy Atencio of San Antonio, CO, Elaine Blea (Felipe) of Antonito, Erold Atencio (Joyce) of Alamosa, Elizabeth Cisneros (Dale) of Alamosa and Andrew Atencio (Ernestine) of Alamosa; her grandchildren, Brigitte, Caylum, Derrick, Lillian, Roman, Cory, Brandy, Megan and Cheyenne; her great grandchildren, Jayvian, Kaylee, Chris, Jonathan, Quiara, Kelaya, Iziah and Ylexianna; her pets, Gizmo and Dakota; and her siblings, Michael Garcia of Alamosa, Cordy Garcia of Washington, Richard Garcia of Antonito and Frances Atencio of Denver. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family and friends.
