She was predeceased by: her parents, John Burns and Iris Burns; and her husband Floyd Oaks Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Floyd Oaks Jr (Jody) of Alamosa and Gerald Oaks of Alamosa; her grandchildren, Jared Oaks (Michelle) of Grand Junction, Jessica Williams (Kevin), Chad Oaks (Ajia) of Henderson, NV, Amy Oaks (Jesse) and Eric Oaks (Kelsey) of Alamosa; her great grandchildren, Cayden Williams, Odin Oaks and Keira Oaks; her siblings, Allene Oaks, Mary Lillard, Anna Powell (Tom) and Sarah Hubbard; and her sisters-in-law, Elah Marie Still (Don), Alice Burns and Faye Berry. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked for contributions to be made to the First United Methodist Church in Alamosa.
