She was predeceased by: her parents, William Heersink and Terena Heersink of Alamosa; her husband Laurens Witt of Alamosa; her sister Louise; and her brothers-in-law, Bud Tolsma of Alamosa and Adolf Heersink of California.

She is survived by: her children, Lauralyn Marshall of Illinois, Mark Witt of Missouri, Kenton Witt (Melanie) of Iowa and Lynnette Marino (Brett) of Alamosa. She is also survived by her four grandchildren – three grandsons and one granddaughter.
