She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Atencio Sr. and Cordelia Atencio (Romero); her brothers, John Atencio (Lee) and Willie Jr. Atencio (Richard Atencio); her children, Laverne Atencio, Richard Moses and Clifford Atencio; her granddaughter Luci Mae Atencio; and her son-in-law Herold Salazar.
She is survived by: her pet Amigo; her sister Alice Espinoza (Robert); her daughters, Mary Kay Atencio, Sharon Salazar and Gloria Vigil (Chris); and her grandchildren, Lenny, Maurita, Richard, Nina, Amanda, James, Michael, Paul, Deidra, Latisha, Robert, Angelo, Sheree, Kevin and Kieanna. She is also survived by 37 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A rosary was held on Friday, January 10th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church (6633 Co Rd 13, Antonito, CO 81120). A Mass was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church (6633 Co Rd 13, Antonito, CO 81120).
