With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Jose Agapito Gonzales (Alamosa, Colorado), born in Amalia, New Mexico, who passed away on September 19, 2019 at the age of 100. He was predeceased by: his parents, Juan Domingo Gonzales and Sarita Sandoval Gonzales Vallejos; his sisters, Orlinda Barela and Senaida Miera; and his great grandchild Alexia Jordan Medina.

He is survived by: his wife Corelia Gonzales (Cora) of Alamosa, CO; his daughter Donna Griego (Joe) of Alamosa, CO; his grandchildren, Nichole Medina (Chris) of Dallas, TX, Tina Griego of Austin, TX, Tony Griego (Katherine) of Austin, TX, Angelica Ashbee (Aaron) of Austin, TX, Chayse Gonzales of Austin, TX and Everett Griego of Austin, TX; his great grandchildren, Sevyn Medina of Dallas, TX and Emelia Griego of Austin, TX.; and his sister Elciria Torres of Longmont, CO. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
