He was predeceased by: his parents, Matts Joel Anderson and Mary Amelia Scheibe; his daughters, Brenda Joelene Anderson and DeVon Anderson; his grandson Tyler Augustus Rose; his son-in-law Roy "Jeff" Musselman; and his brother-in-law Don Nielson.

He is survived by: his wife Dora Gay Anderson of Alamosa; his sister Frieda Neilson; his grandchildren, Kyle Musselman, Jenna Bailey, Shelby, Jessica, Andrew, Christian Anderson, Bradley Phillips, Nathan Phillips, Alexandria, Hunter, Zachary Sowell, Ethan, Sydney, Brooklyn, Roxana and Sylvia Rose; and also, Roberta Lee Bailey (Richard), Matt Joel Anderson (Rhonda), Vaughn Ray Anderson, Melissa Gay Phillips (Bryan), Chris Ann Sowell (Kenneth), Amber Dawn Anderson and Melinda Marie Rose (Michael).
