He was predeceased by: his parents, Elijio Valdez and Basilia Valdez; his sister Lupita; and his uncles, Jose, Benjamin and Jesus Lopez.
He is survived by: his wife Rosalinda Valdez; his daughter Helianta Negrini; and his grandson Giovanni Negrini. He is also survived by 4 brothers and 8 sisters; numerous nephews and nieces.
