He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Louis Higel and Belle Higel (Timmons); his wife Janet Higel; his children, Greg Higel (Shondell) of Alamosa and Jill Jeffers (Doug) of Colorado Springs; his grandchildren, Corey Higel (Andrea), Taylor Ledford (Dylan), Alec Higel (Marcie), Rian Jeffers (Kevin) and Cade Jeffers (Carrie); his great grandchildren, Solomon, Analicia, Damon, Julian, Yanessa, Eden, Memry and Judah; and his brother-in-law Jim Dorian (Becky). He was also cherished by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.
A burial was held on Wednesday, September 11th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Alamosa Cemetery (2200 State Ave, Alamosa, CO 81101).
