He was predeceased by: his brothers, Chester Homer, Calvin Stratton and Floyd Aaron. He is survived by: his parents, Franklin Theodore Lewis and Mabel Esther Yates; his wife Joanne Lewis; his children, Eva Winter, Charlotte Lewis, Toby Salazar, Jodee (Bill Dunn) and Lon (Stephanie Lewis); and his grandchildren, Dale Baker, Jen Baker, Chester Baker, Teresa Baker, Shelby Winter, Chad Lewis, Michelle Lewis, Trevor Lewis, Louden David, Stephanie David, Hailee David-Cavin and Blaire Lewis.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations to be made to the 4-H Club horse division in Homer's Honor.
