He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Adolfo and Rosita Mestas; his grandson Gilbert F. Mestas; his son-in-law Armando Jimenez; and his siblings, Cecelia Casias, Lucy Gesaman and Felix Mestas.
He is survived by: his children, Frank Leroy Mestas (Ruby) of Chama, NM, Brenda Jimenez of Brighton, CO, Gilbert R. Mestas (Graciela) of Las Vegas, NV, Beverly Mestas of Alamosa, CO and Neives Mestas (Luis Salazar) of Moriarty, NM; his grandchildren, Desirae Martinez (Esmer), Brianna Mestas (Asher Vigil), Sarah Jimenez, Daniel Jimenez (Lara), Jeremy Mestas (Jessica), Sean Mestas (Kalina), Natalie Mestas, Alfred Isaac Petross, Naylani Salazar and Leoniyah Salazar; and his great grandchildren, Aiden, Emma, Isley, Noah, DJ Jimenez, Abram, Maggie, Evan, Dean and Iris Mestas.
A rosary will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at 10:30 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 10th 2025 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (715 Fourth St, Alamosa, CO 81101).
