He was predeceased by: his parents, Jose Basilio Martinez and Victoria Elena Tafoya Martinez; his siblings, Tony Martinez, Basilio Martinez, Tino Martinez, Irene Martinez and Elizabeth Martinez; and his grandchildren, Kaleb Martinez and Melody Joy Martinez.

He is survived by: his daughters, Lezli Martinez of Antonito, CO and Victoria Vazquez (Paulino) of Gilcrest, CO; his godson Federico Leonard Martinez; his siblings, Francella Martinez of Alamosa, CO, Betty Martinez of Alamosa, CO, Nancy Vialpando (William) of Broomfield, CO, Bernice Lopez of Brighton, CO, George Martinez (Patsy) of Golden, CO and Rudy Martinez (Carol) of Brighton, CO; and his close friend Lucy Reyes of Alamosa, CO. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Cremation was chosen and a Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at 10:00 AM at the Romero Funeral Chapel in Alamosa with limited seating due to COVID restrictions.
