He was predeceased by: his parents, Ardith Mortensen and Cherie Mortensen (Vance). He is survived by: his children, Marcus Gallegos of Sanford, Mirinda Medina (D. J.) of Alamosa and Brandon Mortensen (Carolina) of Sanford; his grandchildren, Hailey, Joshua and Liam; and his siblings, Richard Mortensen (Canda) of Pleasant Grove, Debra King (Tim) of Manassa, Tamera Smith (Stewart) of Manassa, Angie Loven (Larry) of Pueblo, JoAnn Bagwell (Anthony) of Alamosa, Aimee Mortensen of Pleasant Grove, Lisa Bettridge (Matt) of Saratoga Springs and Lori Sanderson (Brad) of Saratoga Springs. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

In Lieu of flowers, contributions are suggested to the family and may be made in care of the funeral home office.
