With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Deidre Fantazia Nyquist-Mascarenas (Alamosa, Colorado), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Though Deidre may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Deidre touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her significant other Joshua Nyquist-Mascareñas. She is survived by: her mother Michele Mascareñas (Caylum Atencio) of Alamosa; her siblings, Annitra Gallegos and Elijah Gallegos of Alamosa; her daughter Analisa Archuleta of Monte Vista; her grandparents, Patricia and Michael Mascareñas of Monte Vista; and her uncle Michael Mascareñas of Monte Vista.
A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 9:45 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (715 Fourth St, Alamosa, CO 81101). A memorial service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
