He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Lucero and Anna Llanes Lucero; and his siblings, Jake Lucero, Phillip Lucero, Ruth Lucero, Lucille Ruiz (Lucero) and Priscilla Lucero.

He is survived by: his siblings, Robert Lucero and Norma Samano. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
