Anna Fumiko Kunugi Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Anna Fumiko Kunugi (Alamosa, Colorado), born in Las Animas, Colorado, who passed away on February 12, 2023, at the age of 98, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Jinnosuke Nishitsuji and Iyono Nishitsuji (Nojima); her spouse Jimmie Hajime Kunugi Sr.; and her siblings, George Nishitsuji, Fred Nishitsuji, Jim Nishitsuji, Roy Nishitsuji, Art Nishitsuji, May Miyazawa and Ida Shioshima.

She is survived by: her children, Jim H. Kunugi, Jr. (Sharon) of San Diego, Curt Kunugi of Monte Vista, Judy Kunugi of Albuquerque and JoAnn Kunugi of Alamosa; her grandchildren, Stephanie Kunugi (Ryan Chen) and David Kunugi; and her siblings, Irene Shimamoto of Chula Vista and Bill Nishitsuji of Fullerton. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
