He was predeceased by: his parents, Hans Thorsgaard and Mimi Thorsgaard (Lervik); his daughter Andrea; and his siblings, Rosemary, Yvonne, Betty, Harvey and Marlin.

He is survived by: his daughter Allison Cotton (Ty) of Alamosa.
