Rachel was once my student but quickly became more than that. She was my dear friend. She was smart, funny, inquisitive, and loving to everyone and always there for anyone who needed help. My deepest condolences to Don and Emily for their deep loss. May your memories of Rachel be of comfort to you.

I knew Marilisa many years ago, in the eighties, and had not seen her since. Happened upon this horrible news just now. As I read her wonderful tributes, it was clear that she was exactly the person I remember from long ago: charming, warm, funny and caring. A worker, a doer of great things. I am proud to say that I danced with her, many years ago, and can agree that she was a beautiful dancer. A beautiful person. I’m so happy that she was so loved, and so terribly sorry she’s gone.
