He was predeceased by: his wife Ravinder Gill; and his sister Balbir Bains. He is survived by: his children, Gurmukh, Surinder, Sukhbinder, Hardeep and Amarithpal; his grandchildren, Satwinder, Jasroop, Ajay, Arjun, Alana, Anjali, Harseeret, Amreen and Ishika; and his siblings, Gurdev (Debo), Gian, Sulakhan, Manjinder, Manjit and Kuldip.
