He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gurdas Singh Bassi and Pooro Kaur Bassi; his wife Naranjan; his children, Sukhvinder (Harjinder) and Jeavan (Devinder); his grandchildren, Robbie (Hardeep), Devin and Amreen; and his siblings, Joginder S. Bassi and Jaswant K. Johl.
