He was predeceased by: his wife Randi June Evenson; his parents, Joseph Verkonski and Estelle Chocola; his brother Gene Verkonski; his stepbrother Lowell Chocola; his sisters, Patricia Olszewski and Gloria Agate; and his stepsister Claudette Wilkinson.
He is survived by: his children, Rory Verkonski, Craig Verkonski, Wendy Verkonski and Tina Savage; his sisters, Ginger Lipp and Sandy Schneider; his stepchildren, Holly Queener and Jason Queener; his stepgrandson Justin Queener; his stepdaughter Jennifer McClain; his stepgrandsons, Joshua Andress and Garrett Andress; and his siblings-in-law, Donna Knieriem, Jay Knieriem and Richard G. Bubb.
