He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Edward and Adelaide Cecelia Helwig; his sister Myrletta Poole; and his grandchildren, Kiefer Trey William Smith and Scott Bradley Nelson.
He is survived by: his wife Barbara Joan Reynolds; his children, Lori and Alan; his children-in-law, Robert and Terri; and his grandchildren, Jacqueline, Talia, Michael and Nicholaus. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren, brothers-in-laws; sisters-in-law, numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, and extended family.
