She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Hébert and Alice Hébert (O'Brien); her former spouse Ensign John C Miller; her husband John Smith of San Jose; and her brother Norman.
She is survived by: her sons, Wayne (Wendy) and Mark; her stepchildren, Lauren, Leslie, Ken, Kerry and Matthew; and her brothers, Edward and Jean. She is also survived by three grandchildren.
For years, she volunteered for the Dominicans at Saint Albert's Priory to help them raise funds for their Mission Foundation.
