Though Julia Joy may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She is survived by: her sister Erla Coulston; and her children, Robert Astle (Joni), Joy Astle and Jamie Astle (Laura). She is also survived by five grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
She continued to be involved in local service groups up until health issues and the Covid year of 2020 sidelined her from her many civic activities.
