He was predeceased by: his wife Judy Coerber. He is survived by: his siblings, Dean Hicks of Knoxville, IA and Judy Wood of Fort Dodge, IA; his children, Cindy Hicks (Leah Griffin) of Long Beach, CA and Ken Hicks (Susie); and his grandchildren, Kaylee Fraats of Lompoc, CA., Bethany Hicks of Lompoc, CA. and Jeremy Hicks of Lompoc, CA.. He is also survived by his family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (https://www.nationalmssociety.org) in honor of Roger and Judy Hicks.
