He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Herman Kapatkin and Pearl Kapatkin; and his wife Selma. He was also cherished by his two children and their spouses, Robynne Kapatkin and Robert Poppenga, seven grandchildren (five of whom have spouses or significant others), and five great grandchildren.
