He was predeceased by: his parents, Col. Elmer Franciscan (Lucille Blau) and San Franciscan; his sister Anita Blau O'Connor; and his stepfather George Paul Cervieres. He is survived by: his wife Judy Blau (OurTime); his children, Douglas (Patti), David Blau and Pamela Moon (Geoff); his grandchildren, Joshua, Jessica, Devon Blau and Rachel Selwan (Marc); his great grandchildren, Kayden Selwan and Blake Farsai; his nephews, Kenneth, Steven, James and Daniel Peterson; his great-nieces, Rosann Thienes (Steve), Connie Simpfenderfer and Melissa LePage; his great-nephew Tony Harris (Janet); and his great grandchild Walt. He is also survived by 13 step-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to a cancer charity or hospice.
