It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Eugene Root of Windsor, California, who passed away on March 14, 2024, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Ford Root and Mabel Root (McGillivray); and his siblings, Jesse, David, James, Millard Root (Agnes), Irene Torrey (Warren) and Marie Babcock (Jack).
He is survived by: his wife Beatrice Root (Stocks); his children, Gregory Root (Susan), Diantha Okrepkie (Bruce) and Teri Smith (Johnny); his sister Patricia Stevens; and his grandchildren, Tiffany Flores (George), Karin Russell (Todd), Nikki Grijalva (Ruben), Elisabeth Wetteland (Matt), Robyn Rodriguez (Alfredo), Nancy Da Silva and Jeff Okrepkie (Stephanie). He is also survived by eighteen great - grandchildren and four great - great grandchildren.
