Chizue Mattson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Chizue Mattson of Whittier, California, who passed away on December 10, 2020 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Tokuta and Shigano; and her husband Samuel Stratton Mattson. She is survived by: her son David (Melissa); her granddaughters, Patricia and Katie Respalie; her great grandchildren, Steven Flanagin, Arabella Respalie and Thomas Barnes; her great great grandchild Killian Perdue-Flanagin; and her nephew Eugene Mattson (Maura). She is also survived by her grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held at the family home at a later (to be determined date) once pandemic restrictions have been reduced.
Memorial donations may be made to either the ASPCA, the Alzheimers Foundation of America or the Pierce County Food Bank.
