He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald B. Welch and Genevieve Hinkle Welch; and his brother Stephen Welch. He is survived by: his wife Frederica; his children, Jennifer Oakley (Bill Oakley) and Jimmy Welch (Brooke); his grandchildren, Will Oakley, Nick Oakley, Hailey Welch and Ryder Welch; and his nieces and nephews, Gregory Welch, Douglas Welch, Benjamin Welch, Michael Blanchard and Emery Blanchard.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Dick's honor be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Santa Barbara, the Santa Barbara Scholarship Foundation, Westmont College, Los Padres ForestWatch, or the charity of your choice.
