He was predeceased by: his mother Rita; and his sisters, Enedina Ortiz and Felicitas Cortez. He is survived by: his father Avelino; his siblings, Joel, Carlos (Lizzett), Manuel Ortiz, Manuela Lopez (Joe) and Dolores Garcia; his wife Esthela Ortiz; and his children, Carlos Gonzalez (Claudia), Gustavo Ortiz (Adriana) and Leticia Suarez (Alex). He is also survived by animals, thrill rides, but especially of being with family and friends enjoying boxing on tv, baseball games, taking Osito, his dog.
