“Mr. Ronald Arceneaux was my beloved 8th grade teacher. He is one of the main reasons I became a teacher. He taught me so much, to write well, to hold myself to high standards, (to finish my work on time!) but most importantly, he made me feel that I mattered. When I was in college I looked him up and saw him teaching middle school in Watsonville many years ago, but as he was in the middle of a class, I just went away and did not leave a note. I am sorry I never told him what he meant to me.”
