It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joseph J. Maciel of Watsonville, California, who passed away on September 24, 2022, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Adão Maciel and Maria Costodia Maciel; and his brother Manuel Maciel. He is survived by: his wife Maria Teresa Maciel; and his siblings, Antonio Maciel, Rosa Matos, Fatima Bettencourt, Rita Vieira and Palmira Alves. He is also survived by godchildren and nieces & nephews.
