He was predeceased by: his parents, Antonio Reis Maciel and Laura Medeiros; and his brothers, Antonio Maciel and Horacio Reis. He is survived by: his wife Aldina Maciel; his son Jonathan Maciel; and his siblings, Alduar Reis, Armando Maciel, Rafael Sequeira, Lionesa Azevedo, Eduardo Maciel, Vickie Rocha, Manuel Maciel, Alda Morrison, Mario Maciel and Honorio Maciel. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
