She was predeceased by: her husband David Hipolito Marin; and her parents, Rosalio Alejo and Carmen Mercado. She is survived by: her children, Isabel, Alicia, Maribel, Angelica, Guadalupe, Erica, Carmen, David, Hector and Ricardo; and her siblings, Gloria Alejo, Ignacio Alejo, Efrain Alejo, Juan Alejo, Juvencio Alejo and Gumerando Alejo. She is also survived by her 39 grandchildren and 11 grandchildren.
