She was predeceased by: her parents, Đuro Margaretić and Ane Margaretić; her husband Božo Gera; her siblings, Nike Radiš, Mare Mečep and Niko Margaretić; and her son-in-law Karlo Šimić.
She is survived by: her children, George, Bob, Mark Gera (Shirley), Katerina Šimić and Teresa Connor (Sean); and her grandchildren, Celsianna, Bianca, Luka, Conner, Pero, Nikolas, Marko, Melanie, Niko and Roko. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
