It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Audrey Wirkes of Washington, California, born in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, who passed away on February 15, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, John Gulig and June Gulig (Melcher); her daughter Diane Zenke; her granddaughter Callie Rockman; her siblings, Monsignor Robert Gulig and Mary Ann Gulig; her sister-in-law Barbara Gulig; and her son-in-law Al Rockman.
She is survived by: her husband William Wirkes; her children, Mark Wirkes, David Wirkes and Mary Rockman; her grandchildren, Aubrey Rockman, Jordan Rockman, Jace Rockman and Ryan Zenke; her great grandchildren, Anneliese Zenke and Lauretta Zenke; her brothers, John Gulig (Linda) and Leonard Gulig (Teri); and her son-in-law Patrick Zenke.
In lieu of flowers, a gift to St. Jude Children's Hospital for cancer research is preferred.
