It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rafaela Tijerina (Wasco, California), who passed away on August 8, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She is survived by: her husband Blas; her children, Dora, Jim Dunlavey, Jorge Tijerina and Veronica Tijerina; her grandchildren, Aaron, Erin, JJ, Nikki, Allyson, Desiree and Genesis; her great grandchildren, Ares, Apollo, Ireland, Maddie, Gabby and Zealand; and her siblings, Rebeca (Baldomero Lopez), Gregorio (Maria Rivera), Mario (Yolanda Rivera), Sanjuanita (Jose Luis Cantu), Valentin (Martha Rivera), Blanca (Rick Bennett) and Elizabeth (Pioquinto Garza). She is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
