He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank R. Rueda and Gloria G. Rueda; and his brothers, Frank, Pete and Paul Rueda.

He is survived by: his wife Petra Rueda; his children, Victoria and Jose Santos; his siblings, Ralph, Martin, Jenny, Mary and Christina; and his grandchildren, Jaxson and Eli. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and relatives.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made to the Bakersfield Ronald McDonald House.
