It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Hoy of Walnut Creek, California, born in San Francisco, California, who passed away on March 31, 2021, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Lok Sing and Nellie Hoy; and his siblings, William, Eugene, Herbert, Betha and Christina.
He is survived by: his wife Marlene; his children, Sandra Hoy, Brad Hoy (Carol), Kirby Hoy (Laura) and Melissa Hoy Tatum (Sean); his sisters, Ruby Wong and Martha Chan; his grandchildren, Sean Hoy and Kelly Hoy Kim (Isaac); and his stepgrandchildren, Christy Reams, Sandy Freethy and Brittany Boyd. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Walter's name to VITAS Healthcare at 365 Lennon Lane, Suite 140, Walnut Creek, CA 94598.
