He was predeceased by: his spouse Munure M. Adatepe. He is survived by: his sons, Edward, Ahmet (Gonca), Alparslan and Galip (Emine); his grandchildren, Alicia Garcia (Bikelby), Cem and Melisa Adatepe; his great grandchildren, Abigail and Mateo Garcia; his siblings, Sati, Semra and Halit; and his cousin Yildirim. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews among other relatives.
