He was predeceased by: his parents, Rosa Cota and Miguel Ruiz; his stepfather Jesus Quintana; his sister Anita Villalobos (Contini); his brother-in-law David Villalobos; his sister Manuelita Contini Cota; his sister-in-law Jeannine Quintana; his brother Fernando Ruiz; and his sister-in-law Nellie Ruiz.
He is survived by: his children, Michael Ruiz, Amalia Mann (Ruiz) and Robert Ruiz; his son-in-law Christopher Mann; his grandchildren, Akili, Nolani, Skylar, Danelle, Gabriella and Sofia; his sister Rosalie O'Connor (Quintana); his brother-in-law Gino Lomonaco; and his brother Ernie Quintana. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cherished friends.
