He was predeceased by: his parents, Kasper Hovannisian and Siroon Hovannisian; his brother Ralph; and his siblings-in-law, Marian Hovannisian, Vartiter Hovannisian, Roxy Lingenfelter (Orin) and Edward Bedrosian.
He is survived by: his wife Vars Hovannisian; his sons, John Hovannisian Jr. (Karen), David Hovannisian (Linda) and Gary Hovannisian; his sister-in-law Diane Bedrosian; and his brothers, Richard Hovannisian and Vernon Hovannisian (Carol). He is also survived by seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and scores of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church in Fresno or the Creative Center Birthday Club 606 N. Bridge St Visalia, CA 93291.
