It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Douglas Chavez (Visalia, California), who passed away on December 17, 2021, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Eusebio Chavez and Dollie Bessie Chavez (Cox); his former wife Doris Myers; his siblings, Charles Edwin Chavez, Robert Eugene Chavez and Mary Jane Chavez; his brother-in-law Verner Graves; and his children-in-law, Colleen Chavez and Eric Skiff.
He is survived by: his children, Doug and Doris; his wife Betty Chavez; his children, Darrel Chavez (Leesa) of Fresno, Darla Young (David) of Visalia, Donna Smart (Robert) of Visalia, Dena Orrebrand (Karl) of Porterville, Roxanne Burger (Ed) of Fairbanks, Victor Myers (Jennifer) of Dallas and Jordan Myers (Gretchen) of Bowling Green, Kentucky.; his brother Donald Eusebio Chavez of Athens; his sister-in-law Alma Chavez of Portland; and his sisters, Eller Mae Klauburg (Emmett) of Mesa and Virginia Lorene Graves of Bakersfield, California.. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.
