He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Joseph Francis Rowe Penn and Susan Powers Penn (Hall); his wife Ellen Pittenger; his children, David (Ruth), Beverly Strickland (Wayne) and Marilyn; his siblings, Daniel (Fern), John Slivanus and Marion Denney (Eugene); and his son-in-law Mike Everett. He was also cherished by seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.
