He is survived by: his former wife Pamela Poppic; his stepdaughter Kristi Asebedo; his sister Betsy Blanchard Chess of Ventura, CA; his children, Jennifer Billow (Greg), Heather Domengeaux of Sonoma, CA, Joe Asebedo (Dee) of Pensacola, FLA and Jason Blanchard (Melissa); his niece Devon Cichoski (Vince); his great-niece Eliza of Santa Paula, CA.; and his caregivers, Daisy Carpuz, Kaye Fababier and Mylene Fababier.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests a charitable donation made in John's honor to either The Blanchard Community Library in Santa Paula, the Santa Paula Art Museum, or the Brain Injury Center of Ventura.
