She was predeceased by: her husband Alfonso Vargas; her parents, Leonila Zapata and Heriberto; her siblings, Tito, Herbert, Ramona and Lilia; and her grandson Ryan Vargas.
She is survived by: her son Heriberto (Leonila Zapata); her siblings, Rachel Franco, Mary Calles and Carlos Zapata; her children, Alfonso Vargas (Misty Fetko), Herbert Vargas, Rosa Flores (Robert Flores) and Leticia Vargas (James Keyser); and her grandchildren, Jeremy, Christopher, Heather, Kellie, Megan and James. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Livingston Memorial Visiting Nurse Association & Hospice in her honor would be welcomed.
