He is survived by: his children, Jesus Rangel, Nadine Rangel-Hernandez (Robert Hernandez) and Ricardo Rangel (Tina Benavides); his grandchildren, Jesus, Maribel and Isabel Rangel; his children, Natalia, Nia Hernandez, Francisco, Carissa and Cassandra Rangel; and his siblings, Rosa Gonzales (Joe Gonzales), Fernando Rangel (Kathy Leon), Peter Rangel, Lupe Rangel (Armando Alvarez), Victor Rangel (Mercy Trevino), Blanca Coleman (Christopher Coleman) and Alma Gahring (Marlon Gahring). He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
