He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Sylvia Smales (Melegaris) and George G. Smales; his sisters, Sophia Smales Margetis of Van Nuys, CA, Colette Smales of Warren and Tina Smales Bails of Canonsburg, PA.; and also Sylvia Smales (Melegaris). He was also cherished by nieces, nephews and numerous cousins.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Gust's name to the American Heart Association.
